1. What is theWAHMmagazine?
A: TheWAHMmagazine is a content-driven magazine
for work-at-home parents. We offer information that's about navigating
the business issues, parenting issues, relationship issues
and lifestyle issues of being a work-at-home parent. We consider anyone
who works from home, whether they're a professional in private
practice, a small-home-based business owner, entrepreneur, independent
contractor, freelancer or telecommuter who is also a parent as a
work-at-home parent. It's for moms and
dads, people who are parents already and people who are just starting
their families. And even if you're not a work-at-home parent yet, but
are thinking about becoming one, theWAHMmagazine is for you too.

2. How does this digital magazine work?
A: Once
a new issue is produced (every other month for a total of six issues
per year) it will be placed on the subscriber site at
www.thewahmmagazine.net. Subscribers will log in with their
username/password combination and will be able to read the magazine.
There are no readers or software to download, and once the issue is
available, it is there, on the site, for subscribers to read at their
leisure. Through a flash-flip page program, the digital magazine
functions just like a print magazine -- the
pages turn, you can jump to specific articles or pages, or flip through
the magazine one page at a time. Only subscribers have full access to
the magazine and its archives. In addition to magazine access,
subscribers get additional perks such as free and specially
members-only discounted Webinars, podcasts, special
offers, promotions and access to our social network, WAHM and WAHD
Today. At special times, POD (print-on-demand) issues and promos will
also be available. (And yes, the company we work with uses an
eco-responsible printer.)

3. Why is
it WAHM and not WAHP (work-at-home-parent)?
A: In
today's language, the term "WAHM" (work-at-home-mom)
has caught on,
so we are irreverently capitalizing
on it while also bringing you good, relevant
content that is geared for any work-at-home parent. Even though the
name suggests "mom" it's our tag line (the content-driven digital
magazine
for work-at-home
parents) that explains it all — we're about work-at-home parents.
